Lodge Spa Practitioner / Bodyworker
Help guests recover and recharge as a Baldface Lodge Spa Practitioner — offering meaningful bodywork, mountain views and a warm team environment.
Baldface Lodge is looking for passionate, skilled spa practitioners, bodyworkers and massage therapists to join our team for a unique season in the mountains.
As a Baldface practitioner, you will provide exceptional bodywork and therapeutic services to our guests in a beautiful mountain setting. You’ll help guests recover, relax, and restore after days of adventure while contributing to the warm, welcoming environment that makes Baldface Lodge so special. In addition to providing up to 6 daily treatments, there are some lodge-related housekeeping and serving tasks to assist with during the day, as well as time for rest and scenic hikes along the ridge.
Our practitioners may choose their season's shift rotation to suit their schedule, with 7-day, 3-day and 4-day options.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional, personalized massage treatments that help guests recover, recharge, and get ready for another day of adventure.
Manage the daily treatment schedule and sign-up process, creating a smooth and welcoming experience for guests from booking through treatment.
Welcome guests to the lodge, introduce them to the massage program, and help them book or adjust their pre-booked treatments as needed.
Join the guest welcome and introduction during the first evening’s dinner whenever possible - this is your chance to connect with guests before they become massage clients.
Create a calm, restorative treatment environment where guests can unwind, recover, and feel truly cared for after a full day outdoors.
Maintain beautiful, spotless treatment rooms, resetting and sanitizing the massage table and headrest after every treatment.
Take ownership of the daily care of the treatment room, including laundering and replenishing linens and towels.
Keep an eye on massage supplies and communicate restocking needs to the Lodge Manager.
Compile accurate receipts for treatments at the end of each day.
Pitch in with shared morning duties alongside the housekeeping and kitchen teams (approximately 2-4 hours per day).
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience as a massage or bodywork practitioner in a lodge, spa, hospitality, retreat centre or clinical setting.
Completion of a spa therapy, massage or bodywork program. RMT designation not required for this role.
Strong knowledge of a variety of massage techniques, with a focus on deep tissue, recovery and relaxation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Physically capable of performing multiple treatments per day while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Comfortable living and working in a remote mountain lodge environment.
$$: The rate for this position is $75 per massage plus tips and $19.00 per hour for lodge duties (average 2-4 hours per day).
