A place to work like no other
This is work?
Baldface is one of the most renowned commercial cat operations in North America. With an eclectic group of supporters ranging from the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Nate Mendel to snowboarding legends Craig Kelly, Jamie Lynn, Travis Rice, and backcountry expert, John Buffery, all under the visionary leadership of Jeff Pensiero, Baldface has emerged as the epicentre of all things good - remote timber lodges dwarfed by the jagged, almost fairytale peaks of the surrounding Kootenays; next-level cocktails and gourmet meals; an impossibly down-to-earth staff; and the exalted experience of riding the southeastern B.C. backcountry.
Working at Baldface means working in a fast-moving, adventurous company. It also means working with smart people who are passionate about their work.
We've disrupted and transformed the back-country lodge experience and continue to do so as we expand our operation into other locations. We want to work with the best. You think you got what it takes? Let us know. Join us!

Workplace, Culture & Diversity
We strive to create a culture of warmth and authenticity in the alpine where the busyness of life is left behind and human connections become a priority. We are extremely proud of our staff here at Baldface and are committed to hiring and training the highest quality humans we can find. Not only are they good at their jobs, but they are good at life. Our guests come for the pow but often leave feeling as if they have become part of a cherished community. We love to witness the transformations unfold as we invite our guests to settle in, relax, be themselves, and just experience the welcoming vibes of the alpine.
Baldface is now working at creating opportunities for indigenous youth to develop and thrive in the outdoor recreation industry via employment and mentoring. It is our sincere belief that by recognizing the disparity of opportunity between cultures, we can create opportunities for meaningful inclusion in our company for all people from our area.
