Baldface Lodge Manager

Are you a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment? Baldface is looking for an experienced Lodge Manager to lead day-to-day lodge operations, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and support a high-performing team in a unique backcountry setting.
Baldface Lodge offers an unforgettable experience for both staff and guests, and the Lodge Manager works closely with guest services and mountain operations to bring it all together. This involves a combination of hands-on and administrative tasks, problem solving, and making sure staff have what they need to provide the best for our guests.
This is a full-time seasonal role from mid-November to April, working a schedule of 8 days on, 6 days off. Accommodation and meals are provided while on shift.
Responsibility Overview:
Work closely with your shift counterpart to ensure seamless leadership of daily lodge operations, including hospitality, food & beverage, retail, and massage therapy.
Supervise, coach, and support lodge staff while fostering a positive team culture that upholds the legendary Baldface standards.
Create exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Become proficient in and able to step in to cover lodge positions such as housekeeping, bartending, retail, etc.
Manage the logistics of coordinating guest and staff arrivals and departures, and all other transfers.
Communicate guest preferences, dietary requirements, and special requests to relevant departments to ensure high quality guest experience.
Lead dispatch daily, training key staff to provide hand-off for breaks.
Maintain close communication with office operations, including guest services, human resources, and finance.
Skills and Competencies Required:
Minimum 5 years' experience in hospitality, lodge, or program management.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience leading high-performing seasonal teams including training, mentoring, and performance management.
Ability to stay organized and perform well in a dynamic, remote environment.
High attention to detail.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and directives.
Strong experience and expertise in point of sale systems and google workspace applications (or similar).
Experience working shift work in a remote lodge environment is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid BC Driver's Licence.
BC Serving It Right and FoodSafe Level 1 certifications.
First Aid Training is an asset.
Working Conditions:
Occasional environmental exposures to cold weather heat and water.
Must be able to transport up to 50 lbs on occasion and up to 35 lbs regularly.
Able to work long and variable hours.
Must be comfortable working and living in remote, high altitude conditions.

$$: The wage range for this position is $350 to $400 per day plus gratuities. Your rate will be determined by your level of related experience with the skillset required for this job.
