Valhalla Operations Coordinator
Do you want to combine your love of the Valhallas with your passion for backcountry operations, safety, and guest services? We’re building out a brand-new base operations in Passmore, BC, for the 2025/26 season and we’re on the hunt for a Valhalla Operations Coordinator who can oversee all of the elements that provide a safe and unforgettable experience for guests and staff.
This role is at the heart of it all: the link between guides, guests, and support teams, ensuring every day runs seamlessly. From guest services to guiding operations to facilities, you’ll keep the flow steady so our guides can focus on the mountains and guests can soak up the experience.
Responsibility Overview:
- Welcome and support guests from arrival to après, ensuring seamless check-ins, safety orientations, and trip briefings
- Support guiding operations by distributing safety gear and explaining its use, relaying weather and snowpack info, maintaining gear, and assisting in the field when needed
- Act as a reliable link between guides, guests, and support teams to ensure every detail is handled
- Assist with special events, media visits and VIP guests
- Oversee cleanliness and upkeep of the base of operations, guest spaces, washrooms, and staff accommodations.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams on snow removal, utilities, and repairs.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments at the base of operations.
Skills and Competencies Required:
- Familiarity with ski area operations management
- Proficiency in backcountry travel, including driving on forestry roads and snowmobiling
- Advanced-expert-level skiing or snowboarding skills required.
- Demonstrated ski patrol / first aid / guiding experience.
- Experience or training in guiding, or interest in developing guiding skills, is an asset.
- Intermediate to advanced ability to haul a trailer
- Thrives in a guest facing position
- Self-motivated with an aptitude to anticipate operational needs.
- Strong organizational skills - both administratively and spatially
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Licenses and Certifications:
- 80 hour First Aid, PEAK
- C.A.A. Level 1 preferred (CSGA / ACMG an asset)
- A valid class 5 BC driver’s license (Class 4 preferred)
$$: The wage range for this position is $285 to $ 325 per day. Your rate will be determined by your level of related experience with the skillset required for this job.
