Lodge Maintenance Homie
Baldface Homies are talented equipment drivers, boat operators, shovelers, maintenance helpers...and everything in between. Basically a Swiss Army knife of a human being - Kootenay style!
With 48 Guests and 30+ staff onsite every day in winter, it takes a special human to keep the lodge running smoothly and the site looking sharp. The Lodge Maintenance Homie (aka Outside Homie) thrives on challenge and loves putting in solid, physical work. A full morning of shoveling? No problem. Hauling firewood, then a 20km+ sled and boat run to town in any weather? Bring it on. After making sure all the luggage is delivered with precision they wrap up the day in the dish pit, backing up the Inside Homie to leave the kitchen shining.
We are looking for quick-thinking, smart workers who can work behind the scenes and help keep the lights on. You'll have your hands on the equipment, the facilities, and a mountain of logistics; the daily tasks are so varied that scientists still haven’t fully identified and documented them all yet. But first and foremost when it's snowing (and it's always snowing) the Outside Homie keeps the mountains of white stuff at bay.
Become a Baldface superhuman Homieus Leathermanicus. It's one of the best jobs on the mountain!
