Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Head of Guiding and Head Road Builder to establish and meticulously maintain snow roads throughout the season, with an unwavering focus on safety and operational efficiency.
• Uphold stringent safety protocols, maintaining seamless communication via radio channels. Notify the Lead Guide promptly when venturing out of radio range.
• Engage in morning meetings to review and confirm the Lead Guide's daily plan. Address any requisite adjustments and strategize the day's road construction tasks.
• Maintain a keen awareness of closures and ensure a current daily run list is at your fingertips. Coordinate any imperative alterations to road-building activities with the Lead Guide.
• Deliver timely ridgetop weather updates to the guiding team, bolstering the overall operational awareness.
• Conclude each day with a thorough cleaning of the road-building equipment. Execute meticulous morning and evening checklists, while undertaking routine maintenance tasks as necessary. Document all maintenance and repair activities in the equipment log, facilitating transparent communication with the maintenance team.
• Prioritize immediate resolution of any necessary repairs at the end of each day, ensuring that the equipment stands primed for the ensuing morning's tasks.
• Safeguard the road builder's snowmobile, tending to essentials such as refuelling and oiling, in preparation for the upcoming day's endeavors.
