Our mechanics (we currently have 3 on our team) are not just any old Red Seal Heavy Duty Technicians. They are master puzzle solvers, able to service a vast array of equipment in the field and the shop.

Our mechanics are resourceful, optimistic and able to handle the extreme situations that can sometimes occur in the backcountry.  Advanced to expert knowledge of heavy-duty mobile equipment, snow cats, generators, off-grid systems, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, trucks and boats is key to succeeding in this role. 

Skills at getting machines unstuck or repaired in the field with limited resources and in a safe and timely fashion will have people slapping your back and buying you beers at the end of the day.

Our mechanics are responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of snowcats (13 cats), generators, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, passenger vehicles, and boats as well as bringing knowledge and experience to all our mobile equipment needs.

You'll feel right at home if you have good practical knowledge of:

• hydrostatic drive systems
• snowmobiles
• diesel engines
• generators
• outboard engines
• Backcountry travel on sleds and side-by-sides
• Boat operation
• Trucking and trailering

Other skills that put the cherry on the cake:

• Shop management including inventory, parts and fleet management
• Basic backcountry first aid and avalanche safety
• Excellent communication skills
• Solid computer skills with fleet management software
  
• Electrical skills
• Rigging skills
• MIG and ARC Welding skills
• Fabrication skills

Don't forget to bring your:

• Red seal HD Technician's license or records of current apprenticeship
• Pleasure craft operator license
• Valid class 5 BC driver’s license
