The Guest Service Town Host is responsible for handling all tasks related to the reception of our guests at the Valhalla base. Starting your day at the town office, you’ll coordinate the transfer of food and supplies to the Valhalla base in Passmore, BC. You’ll then check-in guests upon their arrival to the base and ensure all paperwork is in order. You’ll assist with retail sales, equipment setup and rentals all while providing clear communication between guests and our operational staff.
You’ll also get to get a taste of the Baldface Lodge experience by working one day a week at the Nelson airport as part of the transfer team overseeing arrivals and departures of our lodge guests.
This position works in collaboration with our other staff and may be assigned other duties as necessary.
You'll need exceptional communication, customer service/relations skills. This is a part-time seasonal position, beginning in December and ending in April.
A passion for the mountains and an interest in snowboarding and skiing are definitely helpful. A background in administration, hospitality and other related experience is a must.
