Lead Guide

Guides must have a sniffer for good pow, good lines and good vibes. This is challenging when also creating flow and operating within the expectations of the operations. Are you up for this?

Lead Guides are at the helm of our snowcats (although it's our drivers who do the actual steering). They are strong commanders who safely navigate terrain by selecting runs that are appropriate for the snowpack, group ability, and operational constraints. They confidently make technical and challenging decisions without immediate input. This requires a very strong skill set and a dearth of experience. That said, Lead Guides are not lone wolves and work in close contact with the rest of the team to help set everyone up for success. They are capable of providing rapid input and love being mentors to the Assistant guides and other members of the team. Lead Guides achieve high levels of operational standards and are on a continual learning path. It takes a particular talent and soul to be a Baldface Guide, the gold standard is where we live.

Lastly, all Guides have a sniffer for good pow, good lines and are able to produce good vibes.
